Sage supports and provides many key resources to organizations performing treatment, research and education in human health.

Sage is constantly seeking new, creative and innovative ways to use technology to solve human health issues.  Our consultants stay abreast of the latest developments in the fast changing field of technology.  We apply complementary technologies to further understand human health, behavior and performance such as eye tracking, neuro-imagining, and biofeedback which are all critical to leveraging the complete profile of technologies for human health and performance.

Here are some examples of how our thought leaders are providing cutting-edge solutions to a complex issue.

Warrior Service Dog Training - Sage provides the training of mobility service dogs as a Complementary Alternative Medicine approach to help mitigate symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).  Our consultants teach Service Members the skill of training mobility service dogs to be partnered with Veterans with mobility impairments.

Virtual Worlds - Sage leads the development of a Virtual National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) on a software platform that allows for life-like interaction on a laptop computer. The Virtual World allows the organization to stay connected with Service Members via social interaction, training sessions, educational materials and research, all in an environment that simulates the NICoE facility.

Tele-rehabilitation - Sage is developing and leveraging standard tools to allow rehabilitation and assessment at a distance. Using technologies such as Video Tele-Conferencing and Microsoft Kinect clinicians are able to see patients for assessments and rehabilitation any where in the world, including remote areas where medical staff may be unavailable.

Virtual Reality Simulation - Sage specializes in the specification, uses, research and application of various virtual reality simulators including driving simulation, fire arms training simulation, and the Computer Assisted Rehabilitation Environment.  In addition, we have leveraged simulators in the treatment of Service Members suffering PTSD, TBI and other psychological health conditions.

Mobile Applications - Sage is leading the effort to leverage cell phones, iPads, iPods and other mobile devices in the assessment, rehabilitation, goal setting and monitoring human performance. Everyone has a cell phone and for those who have impairments in memory the phone can be used to develop scheduling reminders with sound to improve adherence to medical needs.
